he maximum volume of air that could be exhaled after normal re- expiration is called the expiratory reverse volume’ (REV) The maximum volume of air hat could be inhaled or exhaled from maximum inspiration to maximum expiration is called the vital capacity (PVC). The amount of air that remains in the lung after maximum expiration Is called residual volume (REV). Total lung capacity (TTL) Is the maximum volume of alarm In the lungs and It Is equal to vital capacity + residual volume. Maximum breathing capacity (MBA): the maximum volume of alarm that you can Inspire or expire per minute.
The physical movements associated with the gaseous exchange are called breathing. The various structures that are involved in the breathing mechanism are the expiratory passage, the lungs, the outer and inner interracial muscles, the diaphragm and the muscles attached to the diaphragm. The breathing movements are controlled by the three respiratory centers of the medulla obbligato and pond Overall In the human brain. Objective: 1. Measuring normal respiration volumes. 2. Measuring respiration volumes in case of asthma and compare it with normal by performing T-test. 3.
Hypoxia Hypersonic : To measure the lungs volumes under hyperplasia conditions by increase the volume of carbon dioxide gas inside the speedometer with continued breathing into a sense of affection. The results were as following: PVC=l . 44В±0. 36 Under this situation the respiratory rate will increase and respiratory volume will decrease, and by performing T-test to compare between breathing under hyperplasia condition and normal breathing it show there is no significance difference between them except expiratory reverse volume that is better when normal breathing.
Exercise: After doing exercise in the lab for about 5 miss we measure lung volumes, after exercise the respiratory rate will increase and respiratory volume decrease, the result were: REV BY performing -r- est. to compare between normal breathing and breathing after exercise it show there is no significance different between them except the expiratory reverse volume that in normal is better than exercise.
Breathe holding: We measure breath holding in two methods the first by taking maximum inspiration long we can hold our breath by using speedometer for best result that we can accurately measure it . The results were as following: Max. Inspiration: 10. 7В±1. 14 Max. Expiration: 12В±2. 56 It seems that by taking Max. Expiration we can hold our breath for a longer time but when we performing T-test to compare between them we find that there is no significance different between them.
Conclusion: In our lab we measure respiration volumes for group of students (4) in many situations such as (normal, asthma, hypoxia hyperplasia , and exercise) , compare between them and changes that happened to the volumes of air that inhaled or exhaled during respiration , in addition we do breath holding to measure the time that we can stay without take breath we hold our breath in two ways first one by taking maximum inspiration then hold breath , and the second one by maximum expiration then hold breath . The normal respiratory volumes for keg man are TV=mall, IRVIN=mall,
