The tour is a fantastic opportunity to host Patrick Regan OBE and singer song-writer Andy Flannagan. Patrick explores themes from his latest book ‘When Faith is Shaken’, and Andy performs some of the songs from his highly successful album: ‘Drowning in the Shallow’. This is an ideal opportunity to create a mid – week event for all the small groups in your area to come along to and be challenged, refreshed and inspired.
If you are interested in hosting an event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
What others said
“Thanks. Really enjoyed. An evening of challenge and inspiration!” – Ian, Gowerton
“Lament is something we do not do well as church, and to be exposed to an evening where that was possible in a non-cliche way was very liberating. Thank you for your honesty, and your ‘no quick fix’ hope. May that same hope encourage you as you walk the paths you walk, and thank you for taking the risks.”
– A host of the tour 2016 and a church leader, London
“A powerful & really inspiring evening that changed lives and increased people’s faith” – Dave Manager, Streatham
“My husband and I loved it, it was a privilege to be there” – Katrina, Anerley
When Faith Gets Shaken DVD
This six-session DVD is presented by Patrick Regan, CEO of XLP, and is based on Patrick’s journey through some particularly difficult, potentially faith-shaking life experiences, as told in his book of the same name. The DVD now brings alive for small groups and individuals alike some honest reflections on how we can focus on God and keep going when our faith gets shaken.
Filmed on location in London, Patrick uses Scripture, personal testimony as well as powerful, moving interviews with friends, family members and colleagues to lead us through how we can rethink trust, peace, courage, surrender, guilt and hope when we face uncertainties and feel as though life is falling apart.
Includes on-screen discussion starters to help you explore and hear what God may be whispering along the way.
About the Book
What do you do when life falls apart and it feels as though God has left you? How do you keep going when your faith has been rocked to the core? We all go through painful times but sometimes things get so hard we’re not sure where God is or what he’s up to.
For Patrick there was pain, illness and loss in his family and community. Then he faced a series of excruciating operations that took him to the brink physically, emotionally and spiritually. Writing during his journey of recovery, Patrick takes an honest look at how we find God in these times of suffering. He wrestles with how we can know God’s peace when life is anything but peaceful, what the true nature of courage is, how we allow ourselves the grace to rest when we’re running on empty, and how we can stay fully present in the moment – all so we can ultimately grasp the love of God at a deeper level.

“Patrick shows us how to emerge from our coping mechanisms, to stop pretending when we are running on empty – that in the dark times, someone is still holding on to us.”
– Danielle Strickland, speaker, writer and Salvation Army Officer
“Patrick Regan is a remarkable leader and this is his best, most honest book yet.”
– Pete Greig, 24-7Prayer, Emmaus Rd and Alpha International
“Faith is by definition shakeable – and it is great to see a book addressing this. In this helpful book, Patrick tells of how he moved from ‘unshakable’ to ‘real’. Rather than pretending shaking will not happen, Patrick tells stories of where it has resulted in growth, in depth and lasting change.”
– Dr Rob Waller is a Consultant Psychiatrist working for the NHS in Scotland and on the leadership of Mind and Soul
“Patricks honesty (and that of the others in this wonderful book) about his emotional and spiritual struggles will encourage all of us and help us to remember that we’re not on our own.”
– Dr Ruth Valerio Churches and Theology Director, A Rocha UK
“This is a searingly honest and absolutely necessary book…it is challenging and uplifting, honest and vulnerable; read it and draw closer to Jesus.”
– Mike Pilavachi, co-founder and leader of Soul Survivor
“This book will be a lifeline to those who have discovered that life is hard and God can sometimes feel distant.”
– Malcolm Duncan – Author, Lecturer, Broadcaster and Senior Pastor of Gold Hill Baptist Church
“Honest, gripping, challenging. If you are struggling to hold on to your faith in difficult times this book will be a great help to you”.
– Krish Kandiah founder of Home for Good and president of London School of Theology
